Longines states the following
Serial number S/N 7237XXX indicates a Longines mechanical manualy wound movement, caliber 8.68N. It was invoiced on 22.9.1947 to the company of Wittnauer which was at that time the subsidary in New York. The watch band was produced locally under license from Longines.
Original owners manual and warranty paperwork included
Longines watch case is 14K Solid Gold. Longines watch band is Gold filled and was sold by the original distributor on the watch.
Watch works and has been professionally cleaned over the years with the original owner.
