J.P. SAUER MODEL 3000 LUX DRILLING
Serial No: G8153 Caliber 12 x12 x .30-06. This production Drilling was the top of the line, featuring highest quality of finish including game scene engravings. This fine combination gun has 25” barrels, with pop-up rear sight, mounted in flat, matt, full length rib. Bbls are stamped “J.P.Sauer & Sohn”, “Made in Western Germany” and with caliber. Shotgun bbls are marked for 2-3/4” chambers, as well as full and half choke. Caliber is stamped on rifle bbl. Sling loop is soldered to rifle bbl. This gun has Greener cross-bolt and side safety, three pin cocking indicators, front trigger is set. Action is nicely engraved with simple medium scroll, with well cut vignettes of game: stag on left, fox on right side. The barrels have Suhler claw scope mounts for a nicely fitted Zeiss Diatal-Z 6 x 42 scope (SN:1580107 – reticle #4). Scope comes with a round leather case. The beautifully veined Walnut stock has a German style cheek piece with a custom engraved wapiti.
This Drilling is a beauty! With brilliant barrels, having only the rifle barrel used for 5 rounds. Comes with a leather case. Extra parts and springs are included.
