Description:
Winchester. Model 1886 lever action rifle. Cal. 40-82 WCF. custom half
Round half Octagon 24 1/2 barrel. Buck horn rear sight. This serial
number is super low and may have been manufactured 1885 first year of
production. Has old repair by front of loading gate and one on round part
of barrel just forward of forearm nose cap. Lever slide and magazine tube
retain about 80 % blue. Octagon part of barrel has about 50% blue with
the round part being a plum color. Lever was blued at some point.
Has a drilled and tapped hole on top tang, probably for tang sight.
Crescent butt plate about 30% blue. Bore is bright with good rifling. Nice
shooting gun in a tough caliber. Serial # 765. Accompanied by Factory
letter.
