Steel is in excellent condition with minor handling marks. There are several small nicks and marks on trigger guard assembly and the right side of the receiver has several small nicks or bright spots near the rear trigger group pin.
Wood is excellent with some minor handling marks. Buttplate has some deterioration of finish.
Gun does not appear to have seen any use. The 30" barrel is very tight to install and remove, the 26" is much easier.
Box appears to be the correct type but does not have the correct serial number, the hang tag matches the box. There is no other paperwork.
This gun is part of a group of Remington shotguns that were purchased new in 1985 and put into storage for 35 years and never used. It is my assumption that the boxes were probably mixed up at the gunshop where it was originally purchased.
Mfg. date is assumed to be about 1984 or 85, as all of the other guns and barrels purchased in this group were made in that time frame. There is no date code on the barrel.
