Here is one rare bird in antique bullet molds. I have had not one person identify this mold in many years of asking and searching ! Only till I saw this same type in Larry Sheldon's book on " CALIFORNIA GUNSMITHS " and is shown in photos. Mostly this mold is made from cast brass,shaped to size,cherried,and then finished.Only difference is that mine has had wood handles attached,which look to be over a100 years old.There is 38 stamped near the top of block,and mikes about .375 Overall length is 8 inched and the center handle measures 9 inches.Everything works as it should,especiall the large center handle with its large spring and top pouring spoon.There appears to have been an old brazing repair on left side near where it fits into handle. I would consider trades for MAYNARD 1882 stuff and what might you have ? And the last photos are of a mold not for sale,but was found in the same box which had the Slotterbeck mold.Along with many other very old brass type molds and such.
