Description:
This is a "tommy" style helmet, made in 1955 by the Verblifa Co. for use by Dutch Civil Defense personnel. The metal shell retains about 80-85% of the original dull gray painted finish with the balance flaked to the underlying ruddy-brown metal. The helmet has a size 56 black rubber suspensionwith intact OD canvas chinstrap and a complete black leather neck protector attached to the rear of the helmet. These are interesting helmets, among the last of the Brodie design to be manufactured, and is in fine overall condition.
