A beautiful and unique gentleman;s travelling wine cup/taster made out of sterling silver and maker marked.The maker was Foster & Bailey of Providence, Rhode Island. Its original velvet lined round case is included. It measures just over an inch tall and just over 3 1/8 inches across. It has a finely crafted folding handle. Gilded on the inside, as wine tasters and brandy tasters were done in the time period. A wonderful accessory for the gun case, shooting bag or on safari...after the hunt sitting beside the campfire.
