If you want to buy an M1 Carbine that isn't quite how the ad described, then don't buy this one. I take the time and have the pride to make sure you are getting more than you expect; in a good way ! I completely disassemble the M1 Carbines that I sell to ensure the parts are USGI WWII correct for the manufacturer of the rifle, the serial number series, the production block, the part series type, and correctly manufacturer stamped. The parts that are not stamped I validate being correct by measuring and/or comparing them to pictures in the book Comprehensive Guide M! CARBINE by Roger Larson. This book is 839 pages and over 4,000 quality color photographs of M1 Carbine authenitication. There are several very good sources of M1 Carbine information but I use only this book in order to maintain accuracy and consistency.
I don't do just a cosmetic or paper rebuild to the rifles I sell. I take in the neighborhood of 200 pictures of the actual rifle you will be buying to share with interested buyers.. I also post a picture of the rifle's bore which most others don't do for obvious reasons. Once a rifle is ready to sell I take it to the shooting range and shoot 30 to 60 rounds through it to ensure it fires, feeds, cycles, and ejects as it should. I do not sight the rifle in for accuracy due to the differences in how each of us view through the sights.
Enough about my method of rebuilding the M1 Carbine. Included extras will be two Original 15 Round magazines stamped (SP),Original Oiler stamped IS, quality reproduction sling, two magazine pouch, zippered canvas carry case, and field manual.
