Brass guard and fluted walnut grip. Other Woolley & Deakin swords have been observed with this form of hilt and identical fluted grip and may be a pattern of Mounted Militia saber intended for use by British forces in America during the latter part of the Revolution. The un-fullered blade suggests earlier production circa early 1780’s than a sword with a fullered blade. All original and in very good condition. Price: $1,500 |
