Description:
475 #2 3.5", serial number 437XX. 11.6 lbs, 25" barrels. 14.5" LOP. Barrels reblued. Marked "Cogswell & Harrison Ltd 141 New Bond & 226 Strand London Service charge 75 grs cordite 480 grs bullet". Proof marks show "Birmingham 475 Express cordite 75-480 max" with London re-proof. Ejectors. Bores show cordite wear. 100 yard standing and 200 & 300 yard leaf. Dovetail front sight appears to be replacement. Barrel sling eye has Cogswell-style doubling block on top of rib. Plain blue action has "Cogswell & Harrison Ltd" on both sides with very limited engraving. Shows some minor pitting. Disc-set strikers. Non-automatic safety is positive. Ejectors in time. Forend has Deely & Edge catch. Un-repaired split from catch to rear metal. Multi-point checkering shows wear. Buttstock sound, plain overall. Shows repair from rear of tang and front of comb approx 2" (see photos). Rear sling eye, hardened Silvers pad. Cogswell madee firearms from princes to poachers, this one is on the poacher end of spectrum. Please call for shippng and insurance amount. More photos on request.
