These early Remington model 4 actions seem a bit beefier ! And especialy with a stronger upper tang added,and certainly a professional job. Also, it has been repolished to bright,never used,and would not take much repolishing to finish again. The .22 extractor has a bit broken off and could be brazed and finished off. A separate good .32 extractor is included. And a mainspring would also be needed for action. All said,this action when used would make a fine rifle and what caliber would depend on the gunsmith.
