New York engraved gold & nickel plated S&W Model #1 revolver with rare short bbl & pearl grips in 95 % condition.`
This gun is 2 11/16” bbl, 22rf, SN 3 77021, gold/nickel finish with pearl grips. The gun is circa 1870’s. The shortened bbl for the above weapon 3 3/16”gun is 2 11/16”. We have Nimschke NY engraving with scroll work on a punch dot background.. The one line address/patent date is correctly stamped on the left side of the bbl. Matching cylinder markings are on the gold grip frame & bbl. The frame is plated in gold. The remaining frame& fitted with pearl birds head grips. Overall the gun is very fine with 90-95% nickel & gold plate. Mechanically fine. A gun that was ordered with all the whistle & bells & still has them today!
