Tanzania Tigerfish
Shuguli Camp in Selous game reserve for Rod & Reel and Fly Fishing
These trips are predominantly focused on Tiger fish (Hydrocynus tanzaniae), however, other fish include Vundu and other types of Cat fish, Tilapia, Yellow fish, Rhino fish as well as some species yet to be identified.  Anglers start the day early and some fishing is done from river banks and may only be accessible on foot, especially areas along the rapids. Fishing is mostly done from aluminium Jon boats to fish the Luhombero river and Ruaha river as well as the larger areas on Kilombero river and below the Shuguli falls on the Ulanga river. The fishing is rotated regularly to prevent excessive fishing pressure.
Fishing trips in Selous are for a minimum 4 clients (2 anglers per boat) for 6 nights - with five and a half days of fishing. Clients fly into Dar Es Salaam and will fly to Selous the following morning at 9am (one hour flight).
Best fishing for Luhombero and Kilombero rivers is  2nd week of June to 2nd week of August while on Ruaha river it is best from 2nd week of August to 2nd week of November. The fishing in Kilombero and Ulanga rivers is best from 2nd week of September to 2nd week of November.
