Description:
This original 10 gauge Fowler has a tapered octagon to single wedding band to round 1-1/8" to 15/16" x 31-1/2" smooth bore barrel with BATE stamped on the top flat and fitted with fixed sights. The barrel shows some pitting. The P grade European Walnut stock is in good condition with a checkered wrist, horn insert on the top of the comb and an Ebony nose cap. The very nicely engraved flint lock is activated by a single trigger. The iron furniture is tastefully engraved but fading with wear. Length of pull is 13-1/2" OAL 48-1/2". Please Note: This gun has all original parts but the original barrel was cut and removed just ahead of the breech plug and the existing barrel was fitted to the stock. Good wood to metal fit - maker unknown. Condition: Good. and weight is 6.0 lbs. Our stock number is P-24-88.
