This is the BEST Model 71/84 we have encountered.
Superb, all original wood and metal finishes from 130+ years ago, matching #s on even the screw heads.
Scattered dings and pressure marks in the wood, to be expected even on an unissued rifle.
Sharp cartouches and proof marks.
No import markings detected.
Action interior, bore, bolt face, all look like this has not been shot. Hard to believe, but thats how it looks.
This is the opportunity to get a unicorn 71/84 that's really hard to improve on.
