BRITISH PATTERN 1876 MARTINI HENRY RIFLE SOCKET BAYONET & SCABBARD. 22" blade with 3" socket. Blade in the white with original polish. Broad arrow over WD markings with other typical acceptance stamps including 6/83 for 1888. "6/29" struck through under that. Also Crown over "E" over "27". Elbow and socket with original blue never cleaned. Brass and leather scabbard with throat device having "WD" under broad arrow and Crown over E over 12. Three rivet type on front opposite seams which are secure except upper 5" toward throat where pulling apart slightly but sound. Drag with broad arrow over "WD". "421" on frog stud. Very nice example for accompanyment to rifle.
