Description:
Interesting and very rare, much lighter than most 8 bore guns at 12.2lbs. This is an unusual piece built on a Webley screw grip action, boxlock extractor gun made in 1911 for His Highness Maharana Shri Sir Chhatrasinhji (1862-1915) and regulated fire SSG(buckshot) per the ledger. The barrels are marked 1000 grain bullet, Nitro Proofed for 2&1/4OZ, Rifled chokes but not Fosberry ratcheted choking, more like standard Enfield type rifling in the last 4" of the 25" barrels. Ramp front sight and two folding leaves. Nicely engraved, cased with a modern mold and quite a few accessories.
