Description:
A fine original J.C. Terry 22 caliber deringer. These gus were made in the mid 1860s by J.C. Terry of Springfield Mass. There were approx. 700 made and no patent was ever issued. This example is serial # 609 with a silver plated brass frame, blued barrel and rosewood grips.
Condition-- Barrel retains much of the original blue finish. The brass frame shows traces of original silver plate with the balance  a good mustard color age patina. The rosewood grips are fine with only very minor marks. The action is strong and the bore is good with some very slight rough areas.
