About Us: I have had great luck in my sales through "GUNS INTERNATIONAL". This is the only site I use and do not plan to change.

Description:
This nice clean early 1862 Police revolver has a 4 digit serial number made in the first year of production, 1861, and is inscribed on the butt " F. T. Garthwaite, Newark, N. J,"  It retains about 80% of the silver plating on the grip frame.  There is one very small chip from the toe of the butt. The bore is at least 95%.  A really nice collectable Civil War era Colt revolver.  The barrel is 4 1/2 inches.  All numbers match.
