Berlin: Geyger 12 Bore Boxlock Ejector Made in 1938, A 2 Barrel Set with 25 3/4" & 29" Barrels, This is a Top Quality Suhl Made S x S That Remains Totally Original and in Excellent Condition, Both barrels with a rib extension and a hidden crossbolt, Both barrels with Krupp Laufstahl steel with dovetail lumps, The 25 3/4" barrels at .723 .004 & .029" (Skt.I & Imp.Mod.), 2 1/2" chambers, The 29" barrels at .723 .038 & .038" (Full & Full), 2 1/2" chambers, 7 each locking screws on key screws, Double triggers, Scalloped frame, Cocking indicators, Bolstered frame, Greener style side safety, Splinter forend with a pull down Deeley & Edge type release, Straight hand stock at 15 1/16 x 1 9/16 x 2 1/2" over the original horn buttplate, Neutral stock for either the right or left hand, Sling swivels, 6 lbs. 9 oz. with the 25 3/4" barrels & 6 lbs. 13 oz. with the 29" barrels, 90% of period rose & scroll engraving coverage that is very well cut, Very nice wood with excellent color and contrast, The barrels have original black & remain at 96%, 40% original case colors remain, The stock with the original oil finish & remains at 80%, The checkering is original and at 90%. The bores on both barrel sets remain excellent plus and are totally free of pits and are bright & shiny. The bores look like new. All of the screws remain at 98%. This piece was very well cared for, and it appears it was shot very little as the standing breech face has 90% case colors remaining. Here is Pre-War Suhl Quality game gun from the great era of 1938 with all the touch, style, grace, and workmanship of that great period.

While I was going over this piece a customer brought in a current made double S x S from Europe for some work. I laid the 1938 Geyger down and looked at his and headed straight to the bathroom with an upset stomach. He then told me what he paid, and I went back to the bathroom for a second visit. I am OK; I just live in a different world.
