Description:
This is a Remington New Model Police factory conversion to 38 RF. It has a 3-½” nickel plated octagonal barrel with light pitting on the outside and good rifling in the bore. The top flat is marked “PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858. MARCH 17. 1865. / REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEW YORK U.S.A. / NEW MODEL”. The nickel plated frame has a few scratches and scattered pitting, the majority being on the left side. The nickel finish is wearing off the otherwise undamaged trigger guard, exposing the brass underneath. The 2 piece cylinder also has pitting but is not dented or bulged. The hammer is undamaged. The walnut grips have a few chips and scratches but they do not disturb the finish. Weight is 1 lb 4 oz. Our stock number is #A384.
