SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1795 TYPE II FLINTLOCK MUSKET LOCK DATED 1808. War of 1812 era original plate dated 1808 and stamped with the early script “US” over the Federal Eagle and the rocker style “SPRINGFIELD” stamp. Back of plate with Springfield lock maker “L.” stamp. Has all the original interior parts including the mainspring. No hammer and hammer screw a modern replacement.
