Description:
This is the 3rd model in the S&W Single Shot Pistol Line, and the only double/single action model made. A very few of these guns are referred to as Olympic Barrel models, and this is one of those referenced pistols. The chamber is especially designed so the .22lr cartridge must be pushed into the chamber the last 1/8 inch of travel - making the lands in full contact with the projectile for more accurate shooting. And this particular example, while having been shot, was very well taken care of and still retains a mint bore and chamber. There is slight blue loss at the muzzle and a bit on the left side of the barrel, probably from holster use, but the pistol still retains about 94% of original blue. Grips are original and excellent. All in all quite a rare 3rd model single shot pistol.
