WESTERN VIRGINIA PERCUSSION HALF-STOCK LONGRIFLE OR RIFLE, CIRCA 1850’S. 52” o/a with 35” rifled .41 caliber octagon barrel. Back action lock stamped “WARRENTED”. Double set triggers. Walnut stock with distinctive finely articulated cheek rest and faceted carved comb. Brass mounts. Excellent condition with fine dark blue-patina mix on metal and all the original finish on the stock. Pewter forend cap and original hickory ramrod. Lock and triggers in working order. Although unsigned it is high quality. Extra nice.
