BOEHLER ANTINIT NG BARRELS, AN ANTIOXID BARREL STEEL WHICH REDUCES WEIGHT BY APPROXIMATELY 170 GRAMS/3/8 LB FOR 70 CM LENGTH OVER UNDER BARRELS. THE GREATER STRENGTH AND ELASTICITY OF THIS HIGH GRADE STEEL PERMITS THINNER BARREL WALLS THEREBY REDUCING THE WEIGHT FOR A GIVEN LENGTH IN COMPARISON TO CONVENTIONAL BARREL STEELS. DUE TO THE SUPERIOR CHARACTERISTICS OF BOEHLER ANTINIT NG THE BARRELS OF CONVENTIONAL THICKNESS MADE OF THIS STEEL WOULD HAVE GREATER TOLERANCE FOR HIGHER PRESSURES THAN ORDINARY BARREL STEELS.
