FRENCH MODEL 1837 MOUNTED ARTILLERY SABER AND SCABBARD CIRCA 1840’S-50’S. 38” o/a with 32” blade with double French arsenal proofs on the ricasso. Brass guard with Regiment rack number stampings. Original grip wrap and wire. Superior example with most of the blade polish and nice dark brass guard. Dent free scabbard with fine patina finish. Superior example of a sword that was in service until WW1.
