A beautiful tile measuring 8 5/8 wide by 10 7/8 tall...it is about 5/8 inch thick...executed by Herman Mueller an German born artist who studied at the Nuremberg School and then immigrated to the US...he designed and was an artist for American Encaustic Tiling Co. He was into the "Arts & Craft movement". His initials are on the top right of the tile...HM...circa 1890-1900...The tile has crazing all over from the age of it... Looks to be a German woman with her hair braided.. USPS priority mail is 17.00
