Description:
Smith & Wesson Regulation Police Pre War .38 S&W, 4 Digit serial number, should make this pistol a 1917 manufacture. The barrel is 4" and marked Smith & Wesson on the left side of the barrel, with patent dates of Oct 8 01, Dec 17, 01, Feb 8 1908, Sept 14 09 and Dec 29 14. Regulation Police and 38 S&W CTG is roll marked on the right side of the barrel. The frame is original blue with very small amounts of blue loss at edges, edges of cylinder, and at the bottom of the frame probably due to holster wear. The action functions well and the cylinder appears to be timed correctly and tight. The grips are original square type with logos present and worn chequering, the grips are numbered to the gun in faint pencil on the inside of the left grip as has been seen on others. 025231 AAH $425.00 + Shipping to the FFL License holder of your choice.
