Description:
Smith & Wesson Model 1902 .32-20 Fourth Change. The Barrel is 5" with perfect blue and bore, Service sights, Smith & Wesson in block letters on the left side of the barrel, Patent dates on top of barrel, 32-20 CTG on right side of barrel. The action is tight, lightest of blue loss on edges, blue is over 95% throughout, screws are good, case color is near perfect on trigger and hammer, smallest of drag marks on cylinder. The grips are Square butt walnut with original chequering and finish in 90% or better overall condition. The square butt version was available after November 1904. This is an extremely nice original 1905 hand ejector. All roll marks have crisp edges and there are no signs I can find of a restoration. The pistol is from a very old and respected collection. NOTE: I had this one wrong due to the fact that I took the serial number from the inside of the strap and not from the underside of the butt. My mistake and luckily a kind S&W collector walked me through how to designate this firearm. There is a serial number of some kind on the inside of the strap that is in the 13000 range. No one has been able to tell me what this number is. The serial number on the butt is 141XXX which makes this a fourth change.  01412441 MSSS $1050.00
