NORTH AFRICAN TAUREG DAGGER & SCABBARD CIRCA LATE 1800’S. 17” o/a with 12” spear point blade. Leather covered wood sheath. Horn handle in the Taureg Kaskara form. Shows it’s age but hilt to blade fit is tight and scabbard leather though worn is the original. Battle of Omdurman era. Type carried by the Taureg Ihaggaren warriors of the Northern Sudan and Southern Magreb from the 18th Century well into the 20th Century. Very colorful and authentic.
