"Slotter Heavy Barrel Double Key .50 Cal Plains rifle. .50 caliber rifled bore. Very neat gun! This is a .50 caliber with a 32" barrel. Barrel has a grayish-brown patina. The top of the barrel is marked “Slotter & Co Phila Made For/R. Liddle & Co / SAN FRANCo Cala" Robert Liddle was a dealer and outfitter. A lot of Derringers, Bowie knives and plains rifles were sold through R. Liddle & Company. This gun has double set triggers, a double keyed barrel. This gun was most likely used in the plains. Very neat gun!
