- .22 short rimfire caliber
- Third issue
- birds head shape rosewood grips
- Highly factory engraved with scroll and dimple frame engraving as well as backstrap, barrel and cylinder
- 3 3/16" barrel
- Tip up action
- Very tight action
- Spur trigger
- 85-90% nickel remaining
- Full nickel plated
- Made only 131,163 of these
- Barrel address is very legible
- 1855, 1859, & 1860 patent dates
- Made between 1868 to 1881
- This one made early 1870's
- Improved version of model #1 first and second issue
- Fluted cylinder
- Round raised barrel
- Ejection of the cartridges was accomplished by removing the cylinder and using the rammer pin to poke out empties
