This is a super rare example of a scarce holster for a Colt 1851 Prussian Royal Navy Revolver. Apparently, 3500 guns were originally shipped to Russia during the Crimean War but 1000 were intercepted by the Prussian and then used by their Royal Marines (koenigliche marine). These were issued with very rare holsters that had a provision for an extra cylinder and a capper. This particular holster is in excellent original condition and is prominently marked with a Prussian Crown/KM on top. It has surprisingly very little wear for a leather item that is 170 years old! Original owners initials are painted in beautiful gothic script in two places. Two small tears on the cylinder pouch hinge and the tip of the leather pull up strap for the capped is missing. Overall, the holster is in fantastic shape! Complete KM rigs sell for over $8000 - this is great opportunity to complete your rig.
