This is a one of a kind holster that was most likely used by US military for one of their training or clandestine pistols - Colt Woodsman or a Hi-Standard in .22 caliber. The holster appears to be a Heiser or a similar pattern. It is marked with an American Eagle on the rear above the belt loop and with what appears to be an "Aircraft observer" symbol on the front of the flap.
Judging by its length, it would probably fit a 6 inch barrel length gun.
Very unusual holster markings.
Never seen another one like it.
