Vaqueros, Spanish for “cowboys”, have compelling common features. They’re all six-shooters with traditional Wild West style that includes extended length grips, front blade sights and integral notch rear sights.
All feature transfer bar safeties and loading gate interlocks. A transfer bar safety means the hammer can’t fire the gun unless the trigger is pulled. So even if you drop a loaded revolver, it won't fire. But there’s more: a loading gate interlock also helps prevent accidentally firing your gun.
Vaqueros have ultra-accurate cold hammer forged barrels with 1:16” RH twists. The big guns here are the 5.50” barreled versions. They measure 11.12" overall and weigh 44 ounces.
