Description:
A strong, high quality halfstock percussion with a .45 Cal.,bore and 28” octagon barrel with a bright very good bore. Although completely unmarked, the rifle has the appearance of a customized Thompson Center Seneca .45 muzzleloader. The American walnuy stock finished excatly like the Thompson Center factory.The professionally reblued barrel rates very good with a bit of high edge wear and oxidation staining at the muzzle with no rear sight dovetail milled in the barrel. The lock and hammer retain color case hardening, the brass furniture a dull tarnish. The stock shows a replacement Swiss style brass buttplate with two holes remaining on the sanded toe line that would align with an original T/C buttplate perfectly. The rifle features functioning double set triggers and is sighted with a Lyman 57SML aperture sight mounted to the rear tang with spacer and aftermarket blade front sight. The rifle includes a synthetic ramrod, with a brass tip. Posssibly made by a Thompspn Center employee? When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
