Description:
This L.C. Smith 20 ga Trap grade has 26” barrels, single selective trigger, and automatic ejectors. Its overall condition is about 90%. The action is clean and bright retaining the original “glassy” sheen and about 75% faded case colors. Lock-up is very good with the top lever 15% right of center. The Auto ejectors and single trigger work perfectly. The 26” barrels are bored IC and Mod. and retain about 95% original blue and mint bores. The barrels have no rust, corrosion or other blemishes but have lost the bright finish, show slight wear, and are beginning to drift brown. The stock and fore-end have been beautifully refinished and checkering recut. The length of pull over a 1” pad is 13 ½”. Of course, if this were a double trigger gun it would measure 14 ¼” LOP. The drop at comb is 1 7/8” and at heel 2 ¾”. There Is a very small chip out of the end of the left side horn. The trigger guard bow is engraved “CJT” and retains all the original bright blue. But the lower tang retains very little finish.

The second set of 30” ejector barrels have 2 9/16" chambers with long forcing cones for 2 3/4" shells, and are bored skeet 2 and modified (0.010 & 0.20). They are field grade, have a second for-end, and reblued. I have shot several hundred sporting clays with this gun using the second set of barrels and found them to perform well. All in all, a very nice little gun and a good shooter. 26” barrels suitable for Old Mister Bob, timber doodles, skeet, and grouse. And 30” barrels if you like: dove, western quail, and sporting clays.
