Description:
Fabbri Best Grade “Funeral” Gold Line Sidelock 12 gauge O/U shotgun.  Masterfully hand-made in 1972 by Armi Fabbri this “pigeon” configured O/U comes with two original 30” sets of Bohler Super Blitz steel barrels.  Both sets are identical in that they are fitted with “flat” vent ribs that taper from 7/16” to 5/16” and have brass front and mid beads. The set marked “I” is choked .020” Modified and .035” Full.  Set “II” is choked .035” Full and .043” XXFull.

The sidelock receiver was engraved by Italian master engraver Ferruccio Iora in the minimalistic “Funeral” style which features very fine, and very difficult to execute gold wire on a “black” finished frame.  In the case of this gun “less is more” as you will surely agree, this is a splendid looking Fabbri.

The stock and forearm were fashioned from a beautiful piece of walnut.  The forearm is fitted with an Anson style push button release.  The buttstock has a right-hand palm swell.  As the presents it has a 14 ¾” LOP over several spacers and a recoil pad.  The DAC is 1 3/8” and the DAH is 1 3/8” with about ¼” right hand cast.  Although the dimensions are very shootable, you will agree that a new stock is in order.  Tulio Fabbri estimates $10k to restock the gun by the factory.  Whereas it could be professionally restocked here in the states for considerably less money!

Of course, this is a Fabbri which indicates it is one of the very best guns in the world from both a materials standpoint and from a fit and finish perspective!

The gun weighs 7 lbs. 11 oz., and balances beautifully.  Overall condition is 98%+.

In all regards this is one of the finest guns in the world and this very gun would be approximately $200k to replace.  Cased in maker’s leather luggage case.

Price is $85,000 - $10K new stock allowance = $75,000  SN:  E463
