I hate selling this gun, I love it and they are hard to come by but at my age, I do not want to leave it to my daughter/son-in-law since they have no interest in it and it would be hard for them to sell it for what its worth. I will be adding a couple of others as soon as I have the time.
This is an original Colt 1st Gen. nickel-plated revolver that still has a pretty good amount of nickel left. The acid-etched panel is strong, the finish on the grips is original and all original parts except possibly the hammer that either has been re-nickeled or it's a period replacement. The action is very tight, functions properly, has no end play in the cyl, locks up very tight, the timing is right and the hammer notches are all there. I have the letter that goes with this gun and will post it here when I locate it. The serial number 83XXX puts it in 1882. You are not likely to find a tighter original than this one.
