Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are especially proud to offer this stunning example of the world's most popular rifle, the Winchester model 1894. The 3rd of John Browning's lever actions to be produced by Winchester, this one is decked out in special order trim. The XX walnut is checkered, and sports the Winchester grip cap with the telltale engraved screw. The half maggazine and half octagonal, half round barrel are also special order features. Made in the year of our Lord 1902, she does not look 120 years old. The blue is fairly strong, with some patches drifting to patina, and some thinning near the muzzle. The wood is very good, with somewhat worn checkering and a very good fit to the steel. The action is crisp and smooth, and works as designed, including the half cock safety. She takes down in about 30 seconds, and locks back up tight just as fast. Even the bore of the 26 inch barrel is quite bright and has strong rifling. Perhaps best of all, she is chambered in Winchester's own 25-35. Arguably the most sought after caliber, this rifle really barks with this ammunition. Just picture necking down a 30-30 to 25 caliber, and adding 5 more grains of powder, and you will know what I mean. While over 6 million of these rifles were made, only a small percentage were special order deluxe guns. Their value continues to climb, and they pose a great investment. For instance, I see the fine folks over at Collectors Firearms just listed a similar gun for 19,750 dollars. I will list this one for much less. If you have been looking for the right '94 to collect, or for investment, but want the added clout of a Cody verified deluxe takedown in a scarce caliber, then look no further.
