With a serialnumber of #93229, 50 Cal., with a 29” chrome lined octagon barrel with a bright near excellent bore. This quality imported Italian produced muzzleloading rifle is marked “Sile Inc.- New York” on the top barrel flat, and was made by Investarms.. The browned barrel and engraved case hardened lock and hammer retain nearly all original finish with the rear tang polished in the white providing an attractive contrast. The brass nosecap, thimbles, triggerguard, patchbox and buttplate have mellowed to a pleasing ochre patina. The rifle is sighted with a close copy of the Thompson Center Hawken adjustable rear and bead front sight, . The European hardwood stock with left side cheekpiece rates very good with a few handling marks showing attractive subtle tiger stripe figure along the bottom with a contrasting darker heartwood section along the top of the buttstock. The rifle features functioning double set triggers, original hardwood ramrod, with a brass tip, When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
