We sell ORIGINAL PATTERN sight hoods for the Pre 64 and some Post 64 Winchester model firearms, including the model 70, model 94, etc. First, an education on Sight Hoods as ORIGINALLY made by Winchester for various pre 64 and other models. All were 1 inch in length, and there were 2 basic sight hoods which are exactly the same except for their height. The taller one fits the Model 64,65,70,71,88 and 100. The slightly shorter one fits the Model 43,75,94, and 9422. All have a bevel on both ends - they are not square on either or both ends. Some companies are selling sight hoods that are made by Winchester and perhaps they are but they are not the correct sight hood for any of the pre 64 models as they only have the bevel on one side. Some also being sold don't even have a bevel on one end. I am not aware of any sight hoods Winchester made that were supplied on rifles with the pattern of hood they are selling. Just look at any original unaltered pre 64 Winchester with a sight hood and you will see they have a bevel on both ends - front and rear. In fact the same company advertising these so called NOT CORRECT sight hoods used to sell their product for $5 and that's probably what they are worth. What's even worse they know the difference - which is correct and which is not - and are just trying to confuse Winchester owners and collectors. We offer Original Pattern sight hoods for all the aforementioned pre 64 model Winchesters for $25. with no credit card fees charged.
