Description:
Now is your chance to own an original Model 69 Winchester 22 bolt action rifle, with the super rare 5X factory installed scope. This rifle has the Dual Sight scope bases which allow use of the scope or iron sights. These rifles were only offered from 1936-1941 in the model 69 (not 69A) version. The Model 69 utilizes a straight bolt handle, and cocks on closing. This piece has a decent factory stock, that shows several small marks, but no repairs or cracks. This gun has what appears to be a vintage sing from that time period. This gun shoots the 22 rimfire in S, L, or LR, and the bore is in excellent shape, bright with strong rifling. This is the scope that was offered in 2 3/4 or 5X power, with this one having nice crosshairs, and as clear as you will find one. The metalic sight package that accompanies the dual siight scoped rifles features a ramp front sight (with hood) and a taller midrange V groove, which is present on this rifle. The Proof Marks are offset from the factory, which allows for bases to be mounted on the receiver (dead givaway for a correct one). All script and proof marks are clear, and the model 69 was never serial numbered from the factory. Gun comes with the correct 5 round magazine, with the early 1919 pat. date.
