Special Order S&W .32 Safety Hammerless Revolver w/ Pearl Grips

Serial #134237, .32 S&W, 3 1/2" barrel with a good bore that has light pitting towards the breech. This is a nice little revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel with the metal retaining traces of the original blue that blends into an overall plum-brown patina with even freckling throughout. The trigger likewise has traces of original color case-hardening, and the trigger guard and latch have about 50% of their original blue remaining. The original S&W mother-of-pearl grips are in fine-near excellent shape with some slight age discoloration, but no cracks or chips. The lock-up is tight with no lateral play in the hinge, and the mechanism functions flawlessly. The revolver is accompanied by a COPY of a piece of a S&W Historical Foundation letter that lists a shipping date of July 12, 1904, as a special individual order for a Mr. ML Hughes (no address given). The insert also confirms the configuration of the revolver, including the pearl grips. This is a very nice little .32 "Lemon-Squeezer", and is in good-very good overall condition. FFL or C&R
