#S 93238, , Smith & Wesson 45 ACP Pre-Model 22 - Model .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1950 Military, It was shipped from the factory on April 22, 1952 to Firearms International Inc. in Washington D.C., 5 1/2" pinned barrel, The barrel marked "45 CAL. MODEL 1950", Case hardened trigger and hammer, N frame, Serial numbers match on the cylinder and the underside of the barrel, Checkered diamond grips with the S&W medallions, The original barrel blue remains at 96%, The frame and cylinder blue at 96%, The grips remain at 95%, The bore is absolute excellent plus. Introduced November of 1951 and made to 1957 when it became the Model 22. In 1966 S&W discontinued the Model 22 and produced a total of only 3,976.
