Description:
This pair of BALLESTER MOLINAs, manufactured by HAFDASA have MATCHING NUMBERS, .45 ACP 5" barrel, RARE MARKING "M.O.P. D.G.S. O.C. 29882 M. ONLY 10 guns with this markings are coming from my personal collection. It is believe that the markings stand for MINISTERIO OBRAS PUBLICAS ( Buenos Aires Province) DIRECCION GEODESIA (Geographic Institute) and the number to be the order acquisition number. HAFDASA Stands for "Hispano Argentina Fabrica de Automoviles Sociedad Anonima.
Condition: This examples are in great condition. They have MATCHING NUMBERS on FRAME, SLIDE and BARREL (different numbered magazine). They have Crisp, well defined markings. The "HA" marking is for HAFDASA. The finish seems to be original bluing, probably done at the time of manufacturing or at the time that was acquired by the Ministerio de Obras Publicas. Finish shows imperfections, little loss, fading, thinning in some areas, little edge wear, pin prick very few fine shallow tiny scattered freckles, small aging spots, bruises, handling marks, scratches, tiny nicks. Original sights. To the naked eye, the bores has very good rifling, it is somewhat bright with opaque frosting. Tight action; appearing mechanically fine. Correct non matching numbered magazine with minimal loss, discoloration, edge wear, loss, handling marks-scratches. Magazines fits well, drops freely and it looks in good working order. Grips are correct and appear to be original, brown with vertical grooves with NO cracks, NO chips, NO gauges, showing some wear, small flattened areas, bruises, handling marks-scratches. NO import mark observed. Book pictures for reference only.
I bet you won't ever see a pair of Consecutive BMs with this markings in your lifetime; don't miss the opportunity to get them!!! These pair of BALLESTER MOLINAs, with the HARD TO FIND: "M.O.P. D.G.S. O.C. 29882 M." marking with MATCHING NUMBERS, in very good shape will make a very fine addition to your collection!
