Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are over the top proud to offer this nigh impossible to find engraved Colt Paterson with 9 inch barrel and nicely figured grips. She is in good condition, with some very light handling marks. This is one handsome gun, and my photos do not do it justice. The nipples are clear, chambers good, and the bore has plenty of shine and strong rifling. The engraving is fabulous, and the shading really makes it pop. The case is also in good condition, with some age cracks developing in the lid. This is the model that started it all for Sam Colt. No more single shot pistols, and the Texas Rangers made them famous. Holding it in your hand makes you wonder about how empowered that would make those first lucky Colt users feel. Every serious Colt collector strives to have a Paterson, and that is not an easy task. Let's look at value. Another non- engraved Paterson sold recently, and is pictured in the last photograph. Despite having the incorrect barrel address, and A. Uberti, Italy stamped under the barrel, it fetched over 3500 dollars with BP. I refuse to handle the ones with the phony "Samuel Colt Texas Paterson" on the barrel. That was never found on the originals, and Colt had to authorize the use of the correct address. Another one of these golden guns brought 5175 with a few added trinkets. This is the deluxe set with a cleaning rod, 5 chamber speed loader, multi tool with hidden nipple pick, snail shell cap dispenser, and a deluxe 3 handled dual cavity bullet mold. The speed loader, alone, has become a highly sought after item, and sky high prices. Up until today, I thought all of these golden guns were identical, but just look at the difference in engraving on the back strap. This is truly a deluxe set. This segment of the gun market is on fire. Nobody has made a Paterson for years, and even the aforementioned phonies are bringing top dollar. If you have been looking for the mighty Colt Paterson, but want the added clout of an engraved gun with the original barrel address , or, if you just want to be the man with the golden gun, then look no further.
