Description:
This is a Third model Winchester Model 1873, being manufactured in 1889, based on the serial number of 319483B; it is chambered in the popular .38WCF and is fitted with a special order 30 inch barrel; the action works fine and locks up properly; the dust cover is a bit loose. The rifle has replacement barrel sights and is also fitted with a rear Marbles spring loaded tang sight; barrel bore is dark with good rifling and some pitting; there is no cleaning rod present; all the metal surfaces have aged to a dull patina; all the wood has a pleasing soft finish to match the aged metal finish, with the buttstock having a small gouge on the right side from long ago. Screw heads are not buggered. An honest and unmolested special order 1873, and comes with a factory letter. PRICE REDUCED TO $3095.
