Altered to percussion in 1847. 39" round barrel approximately .77 caliber with fine smooth bore. The rear of the lock is dated “1847" over “Bascaran" over the serial number “60744". Barrel is a strong blue/brown. Lock has a smooth gray patina and the brass bands and trigger guard have an even aged patina, bands are retained by springs. Stock is very good with no cracks or chips. Action functions correctly. Cleaning rod is a replacement. Both sling swivels are present. Overall, this is a very nice example of a Spanish Flintlock infantry musket that was altered to percussion in 1847. Price: $1,650.00 Antique: Yes |
