Description:
This Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless, Fourth Model, .32 S&W is a top-break, double-action-only, five-shot revolver with a fluted cylinder and a 3½-inch barrel.  According to the Fjestad’s Blue Book of Gun Values, 104,000 of these revolvers were manufactured between 1898 and 1907.  The serial number range for that period was 116,003 to 220,000.  This gun’s serial number of 185775 would put its year of manufacture somewhere in the middle of the manufacture date range, perhaps 1902 or 1903, just an educated guess on my part.

The overall condition of this gun is approximately 85-90 percent.  The gun is fully functional.  The blued finish is 98 percent intact, though it is thin due to bluing technology of the day, age, and handling.  Most of what little wear there is is on the cylinder, particularly on the edges of the cylinder flutes.  There is a little extra on both sides of the muzzle.  There is no rust on the gun, and the entire metal surface is smooth to the touch.  There are some wavy lines on the left side of the frame, but it is not rust, and you cannot feel them.  I am not sure what caused that.  The plastic S&W stocks are original and look like new; there are no chips, cracks, or wear.  The plastic checkering is deep and crisp, and show no sign of wear.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($25) and insurance ($10.35).

The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money order, as they are like cash.  I will ship the pistol immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL.  I will also accept a personal check and other type money order, as well as bank check and cashier's check, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks.  I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal.

Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall or Barboursville Arms.
